Our commitment to accessibility
Hoshen Engineering & Consulting works to advance accessibility and equality in its digital services, so that people with disabilities can use this site comfortably, independently and on equal terms.
The site was designed and made accessible with reference to the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 5773–2013 — תקנות שוויון זכויות לאנשים עם מוגבלות (התאמות נגישות לשירות), התשע״ג–2013, to the Israeli standard IS 5568 and to the WCAG 2.0 Level AA guidelines.
We continue to maintain and improve the accessibility of the site as part of its ongoing upkeep.
Accessibility features on this site
The following adjustments are implemented on the site.
Keyboard navigation
You can move between the links, buttons and fields on the site using Tab and Shift+Tab, and activate them with Enter or the space bar.
Clear focus indication
Keyboard focus is marked with a prominent, high-contrast outline on every component, including against dark backgrounds.
Each page begins with a skip link that appears during keyboard navigation and moves directly to the content area.
Semantic structure
The site is built from header, nav, main and footer regions, with a single main heading on each page and a consistent heading hierarchy.
Hebrew and English, with full RTL and LTR support
The site is published in Hebrew right-to-left and in English left-to-right. The writing direction is declared on the document itself and is preserved across every component, including forms and tables.
Text enlargement up to 200%
Text can be enlarged through seven steps using the accessibility tools, and with the browser's own zoom, without losing content.
High contrast mode
The site includes an alternative display mode that replaces its colours with higher-contrast values and strengthens the borders of buttons and fields.
Stopping animations
The site respects the operating system's reduced-motion preference, and animations and transitions can also be stopped manually.
Labels and alternative text
Form fields have associated labels, informative images carry alternative text, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
Information not conveyed by colour alone
States and results on the site are also indicated by an icon, a mark or text, and never by colour alone.
The accessibility tools on this site
The accessibility tools button
A permanent accessibility button appears on every page of the site. It lets you adapt the display to different needs:
- Increasing and decreasing text size, up to 200%
- High contrast mode
- Greyscale mode
- Highlighting links
- Switching to a readable font
- Changing text spacing
- Stopping animations and transitions
- Resetting settings to their defaults
The display preferences you choose are stored in your browser only, and remain in effect as you move between pages of the site.
Compatibility with assistive technologies
The site was developed using semantic HTML structure, accessible interface components and established development practices, with the aim of supporting the use of assistive technologies and modern browsers.
We continue to improve compatibility as part of maintaining the site and introducing future improvements.
